What kind of magic do they want to learn?: protective and warding magic, but probably will look at some offensive and defensive magic after a couple of events he has endured (like dying that one time.) some abjuration, some evocation. Any other notes?: Ben has been sensitive all of his life, which bled very heavily into his early life diagnosis of OCD, which lead to his ability to see and interact with his guardian angel, as well as sense malevolent presences. through the rest of his life, he has used magic through components strictly, not as magically inclined as true witches and sorcerers in his home world (rare, but exist.) he calls himself 'mundane' but he definitely has a capability, as is apparent through his side-career in banishing malignant forces from dwellings or people through proper components, sheer belief, and the aid of the angel acting as a familiar.
