I hope you're ready for a firefight 'Cause the devil's got your number tonight (They say!) "We're never leaving this place alive" But if you sing these words, we'll never die
Get off the ledge and drop the knife Not a victim of a victim's life Because this ain't a room full of suicides We're believers, I believe tonight
We can leave this world, leave it all behind We can steal this car if your folks don't mind We can live forever if you've got the time
I'll tell you all how the story ends Where the good guys die and the bad guys win (Who cares?) This ain't about all the friends you made But the graffiti they write on your grave
For all of us who've seen the light Salute the dead and lead the fight Hail, hail! Who gives a damn if we lose the war? Let the walls come down, let the engines roar
MAGNUS BURNSIDES
One of the seven members of the IPRE, Magnus' relationship with Taako in Hadriel has been strange- first, exactly on par with him, getting jerked around by events and learning their way together. Then, Taako being the mentor to everything, when Magnus came through minus over ten years of memories. And now, somewhere in the middle- Magnus knows what he does, for the most part, but still nothing of the city or what it can do. Still, he can't find it in himself to be too bothered; whatever stage Magnus is in, Taako just feels better having him by his side, doing stupid shit like wrestling their very not-dog that lives with him in the bottom floor. Their shared house just isn't the house without Magnus in it- no matter what he remembers.
Plus, now, Taako can get him to run errands for him without him complaining because he has to figure out where he's going. A win/win, as far as he's concerned. If he's at all worried about being the person here the longest, well, he just won't confront that.
